Abstract:An odor absorbing composition is provided comprising zinc salt of ricinoleic acid, a solubility promoter including sodium iminodisuccinate, water and optionally, other ingredients such as perfumes and antifungal agents or bactericides. The zinc ricinoleate can be completely solubilized in water, yet the solution will exhibit low foaming and friability. In addition, the end product may be in the form of a sprayable liquid, a thick liquid capable of clinging to a vertical surface, a gel or solid tablet, a powder, or any other form. The present invention further relates to a method for forming an odor absorbing composition comprising zinc salt of ricinoleate acid, sodium iminodisuccinate and water.
